"I have always loved children and felt an affinity for them. I became a pediatrician because I wanted to treat sick 

babies and children and make a difference in their lives. I have great empathy for babies and children, and nothing 

makes me happier than helping them feel better.

I treat my patients as if they are my own family. So I always want them to receive the very best possible care based 

on the most up-to-date medical knowledge. I want them to always feel safe and comfortable when they visit my 

practice. I'm a big believer in educating patients about preventive health, because I want to spare them 

from the expense and suffering that often come with serious medical conditions and disease. I want them to enjoy 

long, healthy, happy lives." In his free time, Dr. Rivas enjoys spending time with family, cooking, running, fly-fishing, 

traveling, and scuba diving.
